Networking at the European Commission in Brussels
Vice President Valeria Gherardini took the opportunity to network effectively during an Erasmus+ information event. Together with President Elisabeth Speiser-Havel, she also arranged meetings with EPSI Executive Director Alberto Bichi and Luciano Di Fonzo, Deputy Head of the Sport Unit at the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
Both EU representatives were highly impressed by the activities of Catch’n Serve Ball.
“The objectives align perfectly with EU policy priorities. Particularly noteworthy are the role-model impact of mothers and the potential to bring different generations together through sport,” said Luciano Di Fonzo.
EPSI (European Platform for Sport Innovation) is an international non-profit organization based in Brussels. It represents a network of private and public sports-related members across Europe, promoting innovation in sport through fundraising, business development, and advocacy.
The time in Brussels was also used to continue working on ICSBF strategies. A workspace was even provided in the brand-new EU building in Brussels North.
