Italian Catch’n Serve Ball Championships 2025: Growth, Inclusion, and Excellence on the National Stage
A Rapidly Growing Discipline
Now widespread all over the world, Catch’n Serve Ball continues to expand thanks to its inclusive model, mixed-gender format, and unique blend of technique, cooperation, and fair play. In Italy, the discipline is experiencing strong acceleration with more than 45 teams and clubs present across the italian region:
- 20 women’s teams
- 5 men’s teams
competed for the 2025 national titles, representing clubs from every region.
The championships showcased not only the technical evolution of the game, but also its ability to unite athletes of different ages—particularly in the 30+ 40+ 50+ categories—offering a dynamic alternative to traditional sports and combating adult sport drop-out.

Training, Awareness, and Social Responsibility
As part of the national event AICS #DonneESport, supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region and SportGoverno, the championships also hosted high-impact educational and social activities.
✔️ An international masterclass led by Tatjana Gerber, ICSBF educator, focused on advanced technique.
✔️ A thematic panel on gender-based violence, featuring experts, coaches, and institutional representatives.
✔️ Social gatherings, exhibitions, and community-building activities.
Held on the eve of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the event reaffirmed a core message of the federation:
Sport must be a safe, inclusive environment that promotes equality, empowerment, and mutual respect.
A Collective Effort Behind an Exceptional Edition
The International Federation acknowledges the extensive work behind the scenes carried out by:
- AICS National President Bruno Molea,
- AICS Regional Committees of Parma and Emilia-Romagna,
- The AICS Sport, Press, Travel, and Project Offices,
- The National Technical Commission The coordinator Monica Zibellini, Paolo Proscia and Nunzia Del Milo as referee managers
