AICS Rome Catch'n Serve Ball Championship 2024

On the morning of June 2nd, coinciding with Republic Day, the Catch'n Serve Ball saw the conclusion of an exciting championship, with the final day marked by the enthusiasm of teams and fans in one of the best locations the capital could offer. Hosting the event organized by AiCS Roma is in fact the historic PalaTiziano sport hall, which after many years has returned to host the teams of the major basketball and volleyball championships.

We express our gratitude to the Municipality of Rome, to the Councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, Alessandro Onorato, and his staff, for their indispensable support, and to Massimo Zibellini.

The intervention of the President of the Capitoline Assembly of Rome Svetlana Celli, a long-time friend of the AiCS, who reiterated the concept of sports rights for all and in particular for women, could not be missed. He then underlined how, thanks to the Federation, the sport of Catch'n Serve Ball has had a great evolution, extending participation to men, children and young people in schools, people with physical and mental disabilities and those over 70, defining it “A sport truly for everyone”.

Andrea Imbimbo spoke for the Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion, underlining the major renovation work on the sports hall in Viale Tiziano, also explaining the importance of such events not only for the sporting movement in general, but to the entire community of our city.

Special thanks go to Minicucci Massimo, responsible for organizing this event. His dedication and commitment were fundamental to the success of the event.

We cannot forget to thank Nunzia Del Milo, coordinator of our fantastic referees, who guaranteed the regular and correct running of the matches. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our tireless civil service guys Aldo and Gabriele.

The AICS Committee of Rome is proud to have created such a special day, where the passion for the Catch'n Serve Ball united athletes, organizers and spectators in an unforgettable event. A huge thank you to all the participating teams, who with their energy and dedication made this championship an extraordinary success.

Together with the large family of AICS and Catch'n Serve Ball Italy, everyone was able to experience an extraordinary day, full of emotions and sporting spirit. Keep going like this, towards new exciting challenges and goals!
