3rd ICSBF General Assembly

At the well-attended meeting, which took place during the 47th CSIT Congress in San Marino, groundbreaking decisions were made and elections were held

Both the elections and all resolutions were unanimous. This is something that only happens at Catch'n Serve.

In addition to the current Executive Board (ExCom) and the full and associate members, guests whose partner organisations will be working with us in the future also took part. Our guests also included Harry Claassen from the Netherlands, representing NCS, and Branko Vujović from Serbia, representing the Balkan Association for Workers' Sport.

We were even honoured by the presence of both CST-Sports Directors, Georges Michel and Harold Van Hest.

The most important guest, however, and also the representative of the CSIT, was CSIT President Bruno Molea himself, whose idea it was to found the ICSBF, which he has supported significantly ever since.

Thanks to good preparations, the meeting was able to proceed quickly and all decisions, such as the transfer of the ICSBF office from Lausanne to Rome, the amendment of the articles, the amount of membership fees and all election proposals, were unanimously approved.

Julia Kolar-Havel proudly presented the 12 new members!

Elisabeth (Sissi) Speiser-Havel was re-elected as President.

Re-elected as Vice-Presidents: Valeria Gherardini, Wolfgang Burghardt, Anu Rajajärvi, Monica Zibellini and Milan Cupic.

Tatjana Gerber, President of the German Catch'n Serve Ball Federation (DCSB), has been elected to strengthen the ExCom as Vice-President as well.

The positions of the two controllers Christian Vifian and Ruolf Sporrer are now filled by new and prominent and experienced persons.

Not elected by the General Assembly but at least as important is the position of the Ambassador, which was literally written for Anne Danenberg. She continues to be available with her large network and her positive attitude.

Vice-President Anu Rajajärvi's presentation on the next CSIT Singles Championships, which will take place in Finland in March 2026, was very well received.

President Speiser-Havel dedicated the CSIT Panathlon Award, which she had received the day before for her many years of work on equality and fair play spirit, to all Catch'n Serve Ball players, members, officials, coaches, referees and supporters around the world.

In her upcoming term of presidency, she would like to implement the following points shortly:

  • unified standards for training systems for basic seminars, masterclasses and referee trainings
  • unified guidelines for cooperation partners and the coaches who are doing the seminars
  • opening up to new target groups – including transgender persons
  • promotion and marketing of these services
  • developing contracts for coaches and partners

This means a lot of work. Therefore, Oskar Rosa has been appointed as coordinator for training and further education and has already started working in various working groups.

The 3rd ICSBF General Assembly was not only successful, but also cordial, familiar and pleasant!
